Around The Primary

Dear Parents

It is so hard to believe that another school year has now ended! What a busy, rewarding and fun-filled 2021 it has been, thanks to the dedication and hard work of all our staff; the enthusiasm and cooperation of our students; and the wonderful support of our families.

To all our Pre-Kindy to Year 6 students – it’s now time to celebrate! We are very proud of all our students for always trying so hard to achieve their personal best.

This week the Year 6 students celebrated the end of their Primary journey, with a Farewell Mass, morning tea with their parents, and this was followed by a pool party.  We wish them every happiness and success as they continue their educational journey in Secondary school.

We are blessed to have an incredibly capable and hard-working Primary team.  Special thanks to every staff member for the work they have done to inspire, support and challenge the students.  I wish all of you a well-earned holiday break.

To our parent community - thank you so much for your support, kindness, and trust throughout the year.  Take care over the holidays and try to step back from all the rushing.

Wishing you all a happy and holy Christmas.

Happy holidays!

Head of Primary

An early Christmas present has arrived!  We hope all families enjoying reading ‘Companions 2021’.  This College Magazine was distributed to the youngest student in each family on Wednesday.  Families where the eldest/only student is in Pre-Kindy, have had their copy mailed to them.

Sport Update

Another year of sport is over and I have been busy planning next year’s sporting opportunities.  In Term 1 (from Week 2) we will see the return of tennis with Nick Kirkbride (Monday mornings before school), soccer with J&J (Tuesday after school for Years 1 - 6) and basketball with Shawn Redhage (Thursday after school for Years 3 - 6).  We will also have an opportunity develop to our AFL skills with Luke Cunningham and his Winning Edge Academy (Wednesday after school for Years 3 – 6).  More information regarding ‘signing up’ will follow.  As these are external businesses, payment and booking is made direct to them. More information regarding ‘signing up’ will be communicated via email and SEQTA Engage in due course.   Swimming training in the College pool begins in Week 3 for Years 3 – 6 and there is no cost or sign up required.
