Wellbeing

Well-being at GGLPS

It is essential that all students in the school feel safe and know that they belong to a supportive and caring environment. Well-being in a broad sense to us incorporates behaviour management, programs to support students socially and emotionally, and the development of strategies to act responsibly and aid learning. You are encouraged to discuss these ideas and strategies with your children to reinforce what is happening at school.

I can’t believe that it’s almost the end of the year!

Term 4 not is short and it always tends to fly by. The end of the year can be an emotional time. We always farewell people as they set off on new ventures. Life always changes and that can bring about sadness, joy, challenge, anxiety, and many other emotions.

To our year 6 students departing, it’s goodbye for now, but you will always be a part of the GGLPS family and are welcome back anytime (perhaps just not as a student).

As your child navigates leaving the school or knows someone leaving the school, please talk to your child about change. It can be tough to deal with but with support, encouragement, and a discussion on how to cope with change, your child will get through it.

Great memories can be formed and discussing these regularly are a positive way to remember the good times.

As you head into the holidays I pray that you have a rewarding time. One that is filled with great family time, a time to be together and build upon the relationships you have. As our children grow older, so do the different needs they have, so continue to work hard on building closer relationships.

To those leaving, I wish you every blessing and thank you for your time here at GGLPS, and to everyone else, I hope you have a wonderful break and we look forward to seeing you all again as we start 2022.

Happy Christmas everyone.
