Music Update 

Interesting music fact:  Children who take music lessons show different brain development and improved memory over the course of a year, compared to children who do not receive musical training. 

Royal Australian Navy Band Excursion

Students and staff had a brilliant day out to the HMAS Cerberus base where they got to watch the Royal Australian Navy Band perform and also participate in workshops. The Junior, Intermediate and Senior Band students all participated in performance based workshops and the VCE students participated in a workshop to develop their performance skill. It was wonderful to see a live performance again and it really inspired and encouraged our students. A huge thank you goes to Mr Parsons for organising it for everyone!

Rehearsal times for 2022

Rehearsal times for 2022 are shown below. All students who have been in Junior Band this year will move up into our Intermediate Band. 

Auditions will be held at the beginning of term 1 for any Intermediate Band students who are interested in moving up to Senior Band.

Stage band auditions will also be held at the beginning of term 1.

2022 Marimba Fundraiser

In term 1 we will be relaunching our quest to fundraise for a marimba as this was put on hold due to Covid in 2021. Stay tuned for more information!
