Senior School Update

Erica Sporri

Congratulations to our Year 12 students who endured an incredibly tough year full of uncertainty yet approached it with impressive resilience. Although we could not run events in their usual format to celebrate the end of 6 years of secondary school, we were still able to celebrate end of classes at an entertaining final assembly with some impressive dance and music acts. We are looking forward to celebrating the students’ successes at the Valedictory Dinner on 17th February 2022.

VCE Results

VCE results will be released on the 16th of December. Ms Langley and Ms Fuller will be available during the change of preference period on the following days, to assist with any queries:

  • Thursday 16th Dec
  • Friday morning 17th Dec
  • Monday 20th Dec until 3:30pm

All communication with students will be via TEAMS. Students are welcome to contact the Careers team now if they would like to make an appointment.

Jumpstart

Year 10 and 11 students began their Year 11 and 12 classes and met their new teachers to finish off their schooling for this year. Students were informed in their Jumpstart classes of the expectations in each subject and were given an overview of the content and assessments. Although all students should most definitely give themselves a break now, students in VCE subjects are expected to complete some holiday homework in January in preparation for 2022.

2022 Year 11 and 12 Student Leadership

The Senior Team is excited to announce the 2022 Student Leadership teams for Year 11 and Year 12. The Prefects will be leaders for our entire student body next year. School Captain selection will occur early in Term 1, 2022. The Year 11 Leaders will be representatives for activities, ideas and student voice in their year level and support the school community with some whole school events. The House Captains will be leaders for the entire student body with the focus on school carnivals and house events. We look forward to working with these student leaders next year.

Student Success Stories

Takeover is an exciting competition from the ABC, calling for stories from high school aged students in Greater Melbourne and creates a powerful platform for young Melburnians to be heard. Congratulations to Shania Desouza in Yr 11 who entered her outstanding story which has been published on the following website.
