Mr Tobias Wilkins is one of nine outstanding Victorian teachers chosen to lead the Teaching Excellence Program – an Australian-first professional learning program at the new Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership.
The Teaching Excellence Program will provide advanced professional learning for highly-skilled teachers at government, Catholic, and independent schools – working with academics, international experts and partners from across various sectors to deliver an innovative training program for Victoria’s best and brightest educators.
Mr Wilkins’ selection as a Master Teacher is a recognition of his exceptional work in Drama and Media and his long-term commitment to the Arts at BHHS. We are proud of the contribution Mr Wilkins has made to the teaching culture of BHHS, raising student achievement and learning confidence, and participation in their learning in Media and Drama, and in his role as a Learning Specialist.
When asked, Mr Wilkins was quick to point out that such an achievement was only possible through the dedication and trust of his students, the support of the PCO, the culture of BHHS as a place of learning, and the exceptional support and encouragement of his colleagues past and present, particularly Ms Amy Longden, Mr David Innes,
Mr James Taylor, Ms Siegrid Fischer, Ms Kaitlyn Trollope, and (of course) Ms Cally Robinson.
