BIOLOGY

Queenscliff Camp

At the end of Term 1 the three Year 11 Biology classes attended a Biology camp in Queenscliff. The camp was run through the Marine Discovery Centre and students attended four sessions about different areas of marine biology and ecology. On the first day, field work was completed at a rocky shore platform in Barwon Heads and the Swan Bay mud flats. These locations were then compared. On the second day, students studied a tubeworm colony and dissected a fish. Overall, the excursion was a success.
