YEAR 8 CAMP

Active and Fun

The eager Year 8 students arrived on Monday morning to a wet and windy Kew and, following the hour long bus ride, were greeted by a wetter and windier Kinglake.

Students were welcomed by the friendly staff before starting their activities.

Among the favourites were the Leap of Faith, the Ropes Challenges and for those students that were not content with being soaked by the rain, there was the water course.

Things were also busy in the kitchen, where the staff provided students with plenty of delicious meals and snacks: Ms Lobb loved the apple crumble, while Ms Tye could not get enough of the lasagne.

The best aspect of camp was the opportunity to spend time with friends outside of school as well as having the chance to make new friends in the year level.

We would like to thank Mr Thickins and the coordinators for a fantastic, active week we will never forget.

Student Comments

Camp was good.  I enjoyed it.  It gave me time to talk to my friends and to get to know the teachers better. There were a lot of activities to do and the food was good.  Better than I expected actually.

I recommend the camp to anyone who is active.

The people with us taught us what to do on camp.  They were really nice and they taught us lots of things.

When I went there, I was scared but I did lots of things I did not know I was going to do.

I am really happy that I went because it was a really good camp.

The activities were very good.  The Giant See Saw was fun.

I was in the main building and there was lots of room.

I enjoyed the camp.
