Principal's News

Our theme for this year is

STEP UP! BE MORE!

This will be our last newsletter for the year and I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and holy Christmas and a wonderful summer break. It is with a little sadness that I write my last newsletter to the St Kevin's community but know I am leaving a wonderful school and wonderful community that will go from strength to strength moving forwards. I must thank the whole community for making me feel so welcomed and valued as a person and as an educator and I will miss you all very much. We will make time for goodbyes and farewells at our end of year assembly so I will not write too much here now, other than to say an enormous thank-you to this very special community that will always hold a very dear place in my heart for helping to form me as a principal and for accepting me for who I am. I could not ask for more!

We are very happy to be able to share with you that Ms Gabee Leone has been appointed as Acting Principal for our school for the beginning of the 2022 school year. Gabee is currently the Deputy Principal at St Mary's in Greensborough and comes to us with extensive leadership experience in Catholic Primary schools and exceptional knowledge of the teaching and learning process. She is a kind and gentle person who has the children at the centre of all she does. She will be a wonderful asset to the St Kevin's community and I know you will give her the support and care that this community is so great at giving. The position will be readvertised in Term 1 next year.
