Year 7 Visual Arts Day

For Year 7 Visual Arts Day, 22 Year 7 Art Students created a collaborative artwork which will be hung on public display around the College. This year, students painted a colourful mural to be hung in the Media area of the College depicting iconic images from famous films. The students involved are to be commended on their teamwork, artistic skill, and strong work ethic for an intensive day of art-making.

Years 7/8 Water Polo

This week our Years 7/8 girls and boys competed in the 2021 Champions League Water Polo Competition. Our boys competed on Thursday and our girls on Friday. Both squads were coached by Mr Doug Watson, who was incredibly impressed with the talent amongst our students this year. Our teams were also very lucky to have our current Year 11 national Water Polo representative, Owen Lilleyman, assist with coaching on each day.

Our boys finished up 3rd and 5th overall and our girls finished up in 1st place and 8th overall. These fabulous results are a credit to our wonderful coaches and our committed and talented students. Congratulations to all our Years 7 and 8 students on such amazing results and for representing John XXIII College so well both in and out of the pool with their skills and sportsmanship.
