Being Well at Magill

Foodbank 2021

Thank you, Magill School community, once again, for your generosity with the school’s Foodbank fundraiser. The year sixes excelled themselves helping collect, sort and stack this year’s donations: we filled a whopping 52 boxes filled to the brim with canned and dry goods! Add to that $247.45 in coin donations: job well done.

Introducing Magill School 2022 Student Leaders

It is with great pleasure we introduce to you our 2022 Student leaders! Here are some random facts about the team. See if you can guess which fact belongs to which student.

Team Penfold - Naomi, Jonathon, Charlotte, Max

LIKES: Various members of Team Penfold enjoy pineapples, playing cricket, maths, going on holiday and watching Bluey.

DISLIKES: include pizza with too much pepperoni, lockdowns, mushrooms and tomatoes.

UNUSUAL FACTS: Which oneis the tallest girl in year 5, or has been on the news, one swims for state squad and the other has only worn pants twice in their life!

Team Murray - Lawrence, Sabine, Julia, Kate

LIKES: Team Murray have a mix of likes including playing netball, drawing, designing, reading, playing tennis and Harry Potter.

DISLIKES: Which one is afraid of Ibis birds, or dislike people who are movie plot spoilers, won’t eat mushrooms, wear dark colours or go to the beach.

UNUSUAL FACTS: Murray have a mixture of unusual facts from a love of lying on the kitchen bench, disliking chocolate ice-cream, being unable to click fingers but able to twist tongue in a vertical line, is one of 6 children and has own you-tube channel.

Team Ferguson - Aislyn, Jayden, Johana, Jelsie

LIKES: Table tennis, video games, reading, athletics, ballet.

DISLIKES: Cheese, bad smelling hand sanitiser, mushy brown avocado and bananas, chocolate, bullies.

UNUSUAL FACTS: This team doesn’t feel it has too many unusual characteristics but one can fix computers and another has two first names.

Team Tolmer - Luca, Charlize, Imeth, Sofie

LIKES: Last but not least our reigning champions enjoy playing soccer, swimming, basketball, Art and Science

DISLIKES: Bit of a food theme here; Team Tolmer does not enjoy fish with too many bones, cheese, swimming or Brussel sprouts.

UNUSIUAL FACTS: One of the team have been in an ice-cream commercial, another is Sri Lankan but born in Dubai, and back to fish related trivia, this leader has eaten a fish brain.
