Happy Retirement Daphne

It is with many emotions that I write my final piece for the Magill School community. Whilst I look forward to new adventures, it will be a major adjustment and there is so much I will miss.

To say that I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work as part of this school for 12 years is an understatement.

I have learned so much in my time here and been part of many exciting and positive changes.

Being the Deputy Principal at Magill School has been so much more than a job for me – it has been an enormous, treasured part of my life. I have always taken great pride in being part of such a great school.

I have been privileged to have worked with highly skilled and dedicated staff whom I deeply admire. To be part of a team entrusted with the care of your children is a great honour.

I have absolutely loved building relationships with your children and making connections with so many of you. I know you will all welcome the incoming Deputy Principal, Daniela Lawlor to the role. She brings a wealth of experience as well as genuine warmth and compassion. I have spent time with her handing over aspects of my work and I think the transition will be very smooth.

Thank you for the strong support I have felt during my time here. I take with me a wealth of memories. I am a better person for having been part of Magill School.

I wish you and your families a future of happiness and good health.
