Leadership Camp
In 2021 five Year 9 students applied to attend one term at the Gnurad Gundidj campus of The School for Student Leadership.
Jarno Van Der Knijff, Bess Smith-Entick, Jasmine Elphic, Fynn Beal and Matilda Pearce were successful in their application and have shown signs of being leaders in the future.

Getting to know our Hub staff
Kylie Greenaway
Ms Greenaway is the Assistant Principal of the Wurrin Hub and is also teaching Year 8 English in 2021. Ms Greenaway is looking forward to seeing the Year 8 and 9 students grow to their full potential throughout the year.
Raelene Jeffrey
This is Miss Jeffrey’s third year at the College and in the 8/9 Hub. In 2021 Miss Jeffrey will be teaching Year 9 English, Health and Human Development and Pastoral. Miss Jeffrey loves getting to know and building strong relationships with all students. Miss Jeffrey is an avid softballer and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Michelle Ryan
Miss Ryan has moved up to the 8/9 Hub from working in the Year 7 Hub in 2020. Miss Ryan is excited to continue working with the Year 8 students and to get to know the Year 9 cohort. Miss Ryan teaches Biology, Science and Maths. Miss Ryan is an avid reader and loves playing sport throughout the week. In 2021 Miss Ryan is looking forward to getting married.
Shane McFadyen
Fadgo has worked in the 8/9 Hub for the past 8 years. In 2021 he will be teaching Art and Photography. Fadgo has worked in the Hub for so long because he loves enriching the lives of young people and helping them decide on future pathways. Fadgo says he is most looking forward to working as a team with both staff and students in 2021. When he isn’t at school he spends time outdoors and is often out on his boat attempting to catch some fish.
Kelly Bell Franklin
This is Miss Franklin’s third year working at the College and first full year in the 8/9 Hub. Miss Franklin is most looking forward to getting to know the current Year 8's and continuing to build her relationship with the current Year 9 cohort. Miss Franklin teaches English (Year 11 and 9) and Pastoral. Miss Franklin has two dogs who keep her very busy at home and enjoys reading and being active.
Elise Clemm
This is Elise’s second year working with the 8/9 Hub team and she is looking forward to learning new skills in 2021. The highlight of Elise’s day is saying good morning to all the smiling faces as they walk into the 8/9 Hub area. Elise likes to play netball on the weekends and spending time renovating her new home.

Jaylah Connelly "I am interested in pursuing a job in baking with the help of BSC cooking lessons. These lessons will help me prep for my ideal job as a Baker"
