Community Association
Welcome back!
The CA (Community Association) held its first meeting of the year last week. Although we are off to a little bit of a bumpy start we are looking forward to an exciting year of social events, fundraising and outreach!
For those new to our community, the CA is just that – an association that incorporates our community…meaning you! The good news is that just by being part of St. John’s you are automatically part of our Community Association. You are welcome to attend all meetings, events and volunteer for all positions. The purpose of the CA is to support the school community of St. John’s Primary school so that our students and their families flourish. This purpose is achieved through
- Building Community
- Social Activities, Outreach, Enrichment
- Providing Resources
- Fundraising and applying for grants
The CA aims to be transparent about everything that is planned or going on in the school, including how much money is in the bank, monies raised through fundraising events, what we are fundraising for and why, and discussions held at meetings. To this end you can find the minutes from meetings displayed in the Notice Board on the brick wall near the passive play area (the area with the grass outside the office doors). If you are interested in attending meetings or would like to take on one of the roles within the CA, such as fundraising coordinator or even chairperson please feel free to speak with Verona or Monica, or you can contact Michelle via her email address above. It is a great way to meet new people!
CLASS REPRESENTATIVES FOR 2021
Please find below a list of class reps for the 2021 school year. The purpose of the Class Rep is to send out CA communications and act as a contact person if you have any questions about the CA, CA events, or school in general.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
- Prep/Grade 1/New Families Welcome Dinner Postponed - Date TBC
- Twilight Sports BBQ – Monday 1st March
Every year we hold a BBQ at Twilight Sports with the proceeds donated to a chosen charity. This year the school in consultation with the CA have suggested that the proceeds go towards a defibrillator for the school grounds. More information regarding the BBQ will be provided closer to the date. If you would like to assist with running the BBQ please feel free to speak with Verona or Monica and they will pass on your details.
