Year 11/12
Meet the Year 11/12 VCE Leaders
Year 11/12 VCE Coordinator - Mr Randall Jones
One of the early career-change teachers, I worked for nearly 10 years as a gold exploration geologist in Western Australia before retraining as a teacher in Perth. I moved to Cobram soon after the birth of our first daughter in 2002, on a two-year plan…and we’re still here!
Keen to share my love for the outdoors and the natural world, I am passionate about seeking learning opportunities for students that take them on the journey of “what if…”, allowing them to discover their moral compass, whilst exploring and developing their character and skillsets – finding out what makes them tick. Having undertaken a wide range of teaching and leadership roles over my twenty years in education, working to support students and families as a Year Level Leader and VCE Coordinator – helping them to unlock and open the doors to their future pathways allows me to take an active role in shaping the future for the youth of our local and wider community.
Year 11/12 VCE Support Coordinator -
Miss Amy Vuleta
I am a recently new arrival in Cobram, via Melbourne, via Brisbane, via Innisfail in Far North Queensland. Before I was a teacher, I managed a beautiful bookstore in Melbourne. The parts of that job I loved the most were getting to organise events and book clubs, interview authors at writers festivals, and work with some incredibly interesting people from all sorts of different backgrounds. Becoming an English teacher was the natural next step for me as it involves all of the best parts of working with great people, engaging with books, and constantly learning. I love working with students to support them to discover, explore and learn all about the world and how it turns through language. For me, being a support year level leader means having authentic and open conversations with students about where they are at, and where they might be headed beyond school.
Year 11 PE class
The Year 11 PE class completed the first of five sessions at Sporties Health and Fitness today. The focus was on Area of Study 1 'how does the musculoskeletal system work to produce movement'. Thanks to Sporties Barooga for providing the courtesy bus to get the students to and from the gym.
