Principal Post

Dear Families,
Welcome back to St John Vianney's for what we hope will be a most wonderfully vibrant and productive year for our community, particularly our students.
To our Prep students and several other new students from Year 1-6, a very warm welcome. We hope you and your families settle and grow to love St John Vianney's. Our community will work to support you in every way.
As I move around the classrooms and playgrounds chatting with the children and staff, it is clear that most of our students are settling very well into class and school routines and their learning. Thank you for the positive support you offer your children.
SJV Staffing for 2021
We welcome the following Learning Support Officers to the SJV team in 2021.

We welcome back Emma Sofra from Maternity Leave. As you were aware we had to make some staff changes during the Summer break and to this end we are are delighted to have Linda Tracey, Frieda Sison and Sophie Sullivan return to SJV in 2021!
In further exciting news we congratulate Kristina Khoo and her husband Chris who await the birth of their second child in July!
Our Parish Priest Fr Eric Alleaume joined our Community at the end of last year.
Fr Eric will lead our Masses and liturgies, visit classrooms and offer pastoral support within our Community. Once again Fr Eric!
Opening School Liturgy
We will be celebrating the Opening School Year with a Liturgy this Friday. Fr Eric our Parish Priest will lead this celebration.
As a part of this Liturgy, we will be presenting the Captains and Leadership Badges to our Year 6 students. We will also acknowledge the Prep students (Clapping in) and our Staff will be Commissioned in our role as Educators.
Given COVID Restrictions and limits on numbers of community members, this celebration will be held in the Performing Arts Area, rather than the Church. Each Captain is able to invite one parent to attend. Unfortunately we are unable to invite all our parents/ families.
At this stage the school will we will not be using the Church for our Liturgies/ Masses.
