Welcome to 2021 and an exciting collection of new books!
Book bags: All students in Foundation and Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 need a cloth bag to carry their Library books safely between school and home.
Library Days:
Foundation – Grade 1 – Mrs Chalmers – Wednesday
Year 1 and 2 – Mrs McKenzie – Wednesday
Year 3 and 4 – Miss Higgins - Tuesday
Year 4 and 5 – Mrs Turnbull – Friday
Year 5 and 6 – Mrs Steel – Tuesday
Students may borrow books for two weeks and renew them but cannot borrow again until books have been returned.
Picture Story Books
"Scary Bird" by Michel Streich
A funny story about being new to a group. Bright quirky pictures show how important it is to value creatures who are different.
"My Mum has X-ray Vision" by Angela McAllister and Alex T. Smith
Junior classes have been laughing along to this story about two kids who wonder why their mums can tell what they are doing without being in the same room. How do mums know when you do something wrong behind their backs? Very cute illustrations and diagrams of “Supermum” and her special powers are included.

"Heroes of Footy" by Kevin Sheedy
A new book of stories about men and women who have made their careers in football. Easy reading and bright colourful pictures make it the perfect book to browse through. Part of a large series of inspiring books about outstanding people.
The "Wolf Girl" series by Anh Do
This is an intriguing, fast paced series and while the language and writing style make it an easy read, it’s thought provoking. It will immediately appeal to 10+ readers that are interested in adventure and exploring what people can achieve in extreme situations.
