Primary House Spirit Activities, June 2020.

We were delighted to hear Premier Mark McGowan's announcement earlier this week on the further easing of restrictions as we enter Phase Four in Western Australia. This means that we can plan for Semester 2 with greater confidence knowing that many important school events and activities can resume. Founders' Day is a particular highlight in Term 3 which sees the whole school gather in celebration.

Our students have welcomed the opportunity to participate in various House activities over the past fortnight. Charter Day was celebrated in bright sunshine with a range of outdoor activities. Primary students participated in House games last week, Secondary students competed in Uno and Chess challenges and both Primary and Secondary are preparing to compete in the Inter-House Cross Country Carnivals in the coming days.

We are pleased to announce that due to such positive feedback the Referral Credit Policy has been extended for the remainder of the year and into 2021. We would like to acknowledge and reward all families for their 'word of mouth' referrals to John Wollaston. Both the referring family and the referred family will receive one term's fee credit on tuition fees upon acceptance of enrolment.

Our Community Engagement Coordinator, Amanda Barrett has filmed a Discover Kindy video to help promote our Kindergarten program in the community via social media.

I have been delighted to see the number of families attending our School Tours every Thursday at 9:00am. We made the decision to trial Personalised School Tours this term to help with physical distancing requirements during COVID-19. The tours have been a great success and we will be continuing them into Term 3.  Bookings are essential

With good wishes.
