Focus: How we feel coming back to school

We are so excited to have all of our lovely students back at school! Some  felt nervous and a bit anxious as they had become used to spending so much time at home with their families. Most students quickly forgot about their worries because they were so excited to be back with their friends again.

Here is what some of our students had to say about returning to school!

Jemima: It feels a bit weird. It's been hard getting back into the routine. It's easier to learn here at school! I am happy to see my friends again.

Michael: I feel completely normal. I have been more worried about the protests in America as we know someone that lives there and they don't feel safe.

Mason: I am TIRED! We have been doing home school for so long so it feels weird to be back and the school day is lots longer!

Lucas: I feel good! It's harder to learn at home. I prefer learning at school.

Giang: It has been nerve-wracking! I have been a bit worried about getting sick and I miss spending so much time with my parents.

Apuk: It feels like the beginning of Term 1 again!

Keagan: I feel worried because they haven't found a vaccination yet.

Alison: I was starting to feel a bit bored at home so I am happy to be back at school.

Sophie: I feel worried because if my parents get the virus, they won't be able to go to work.

Sebastian D: I feel a bit rushed now. Learning at home was more cruisey.

William: I feel sad and worried for all the businesses that had to close.

James P: I am happy to be back with my friends but I miss spending so much time with my family.

Izzie: It has been a confusing time! I was used to Google Classroom and now we have to get used to our normal school routine again!

Wilbur: I feel excited to run around at school because we don't have as much running space at home.

Wil: I feel worried about people who are stuck overseas or have to quarantine.

Dion: I miss being able to wake up at 10 and doing my work whenever I like. It's pretty cool that we are witnessing a pandemic. We are going to tell our kids and grandchildren about this!

Charlie: I feel sad for the people who have lost their jobs.

Eamon: I  feel worried that there will be another outbreak and we will have to go back to Remote Learning. I am happy to be back at school!
