Working for Others Fundraiser
This week we kicked off our four week 'Working for Others' Fundraiser, where TCC students and staff are encouraged to do additional chores at home for a gold coin donation. So get your kids washing the car, doing the dishes or putting out the bins to help them help others. Mrs Warner's Year 5/6 Class are head of the leader board as of today.
Money raised will help support our Compassion children and local families affected by last year's bushfires. For more info see attached note-
Subject Selections for 2021
Year 8, 9 and 10 students need to submit their subject selections by Friday 12th June. Please check in with your child to see what they would like to pursue in 2021.
Volunteers at TCC
We have a few regular volunteers at TCC who faithfully come in each week and assist us. We have strict COVID-19 guidelines in place that our volunteers follow. This week we would like to mention one of our quiet achievers who faithfully helps out in the Canteen each week. Mrs De Szell our Canteen Manager would like to send out a big thank you to Dianna who has been helping in the Canteen for over five years. Thank you Dianna for being part of the TCC family.
Wingham RSL Sub-Branch supports TCC
Rev Trevor Leggott OAM Vice President of Wingham RSL Sub-Branch came to our College to present Mr Coleman with a book for our ISC. The RSL Sub-Branch have been very generous in donating books over the years and Mr Coleman expressed his deep appreciation. This year our ISC has been blessed with a book ‘Stolen Years: Australian prisoners of war’ (A Department of Veterans’ Affairs publication in collaboration with the Australian War Memorial).
MS Readathon- Coming Soon
Mrs Tindall in the ISC is encouraging TCC students to be part of our MS Readathon coming in August this year. Registrations are open and early birds may receive a free T-shirt more info attached.
College Departure Notifications
Just a reminder for families that are considering leaving TCC at the end of Term 3. Please contact our Enrolments Manager Rachael Birkefeld before the end of Term 2 as we require a full term’s written notice for departures. Even if you are only thinking about a change of schools please come and speak with us.
Late Arrivals and Early Departures
We understand sometimes things don't go to plan and the family is running late for the day. At other times you may need to collect your children before the 3:00 pm bell. We ask that you please don't let these become a habit. Your children miss out on valuable class time, may miss important messages and it is disruptive to all students in the class. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.
