Welcome to our first online newsletter.

After consultation with our school community we have moved away from the cumbersome traditional type of newsletter to an online version suitable for all devices. This allows us to provide updates on Kingswood High School events, initiatives and features about the diversified learning that occurs at our school every day.
In these unprecedented times we will continue to work closely with our school community to ensure our students are actively attending and engaged at school; that they are challenged to reach their potential and that our school continues to be a safe and nurturing environment that meets the social and emotional wellbeing of our students.
We have continued with our extensive capital works program to provide our students and teachers high quality facilities to best support student achievement. We are proud of our proactive student involvement in prioritising these improvements and will continue to ensure student voice about their learning environment is at the centre of our decision-making process.
Stage One of our 1500 seat Hall is nearing completion, with our new access ramp to our Agriculture Farm and the air-conditioning upgrades to all of our learning spaces, it has been a busy nine months. We have also upgraded our school Library with a focus on flexible learning practices and student-centred innovation. It is great to see these new and upgraded facilities being used every day, providing students spaces where they feel connected and engaged.
In 2021, our new Strategic Improvement Plan will be developed and implemented in consultation with our community. All schools across NSW will have a strong focus on student growth and attainment and at Kingswood High School this will include;
- improving the Reading and Numeracy skills of our students
- offering a broad engaging curriculum based on student interest and
- strong structured support for our HSC students to achieve in the top three bands.
We will be seeking to arrange a community focus group during Term 4 to assist in aligning our School Plan with our stakeholders expectations and look forward to working closely with our families who wish to take part. Please continue to check our school Facebook page (KHS Facebook) for updates and recognition of student achievement.
