Open Days - ACU

Open Day:  This year we are changing things up. Our 2020 Open Day will now run as a virtual event over three dates:

  • Saturday 29 August, 9am to 3pm
  • Saturday 5 September, 9am to 3pm
  • Saturday 12 September, 9am to 3pm

Although the format may have changed, our goal is and will always be the same – to provide prospective students with valuable and meaningful advice to inform their tertiary study decisions. They’ll be able to chat with current students and staff, learn more about our courses and state-of-the-art facilities, as well as join online Q&A discussions. Learn more

CAP applications closing soon:  Our Community Achiever Program (CAP) recognises outstanding students who are active volunteers in their community. We would like to reward these students by giving them an early conditional offer to study their preferred undergraduate course, as well as reducing the required ATAR for admission. This takes the pressure off students knowing they have a place at ACU prior to sitting their exams. Closing dates are fast approaching. Please see them below: Melbourne – Wednesday 12 August 2020, Ballarat – Wednesday 2 September 2020. Learn more

Year 12 Revision Webinars. To support Year 12 students in preparation for their final exams, we will be running various online revision webinars. These free, 90-minute virtual sessions will be led by experienced Year 12 teachers and exam markers so that students can get personal help in a wide range of subjects.

Access schemes and admission pathways. One of the greatest things about ACU is the fact that we offer many pathways and entry programs to help students secure a place in their dream course. If students volunteer regularly in their community, they may consider applying through our Community Achiever Program (CAP); being rewarded with an early conditional offer and reduced entry score. Talented students in the performing arts or sporting industry may apply for our Elite Athlete and Performer Program (EAPP); designed to give students the tools they need to manage the balance between their activity and academic needs.  Also, considering the impact COVID-19 has had on the Year 12 cohort, we have launched our newest entry program known as ACU Guarantee. Early course offers will be based on students’ Year 11 results; however they will still need to complete Year 12 to qualify.Read more
