Year 1/2 News

We're off and running...

We have hit the ground running with our return to Home Online Learning, and we are so impressed with how quickly our students have adapted to our new schedules. We have found students participating more in their morning zoom sessions, all with a particular curriculum focus, joining us for their guided reading group sessions, and reflecting with us in the afternoons as we discuss and explore their Personal Passion Projects (PPPs).

Students have all discussed their PPP with their homeroom teacher and are now taking their 'First Step'. Students have developed some wonderings and questions about their chosen passion and have began to work on ways they can find information about these. We can't wait to see what the students produce.

We continue to be amazed with the students' engagement, as well as the work that is submitted daily. We are very fortunate that as a community we have all been able continue to prioritise Literacy and Numeracy throughout our Home Online Learning Program.

Students will now also be asked to upload their Reading Log Books using the assignment on Google Classroom. This is accessed the same way as their daily timetables, and will be posted every Friday.
