Year 7 Big History
During the 'Life' topic of Big History, year 7 students were asked to investigate the impact of an asteroid hitting Earth. Students in 7T engaged in a practical experiment where they had to hypothesise and measure the impact of different sized asteroids hitting Earth, and compare their results. This lesson was taught by one of our innovative Student Teachers, Miss Elliott, from Western Sydney University. It's safe to say that the students had a blast!
Year 9 History Elective
As part of their unit on 'Jack the Ripper', Mr Murphy's Year 9 History Elective class have been completing a project based learning assessment task by creating a 'murderboard' of late 19th Century London. In this task, the students take on the role of detective and needed to use their analytical skills to find out the true identity of Jack the Ripper! Great job year 9!
