Mid Year Exams

Mid-Year exams will be held for all Year 10 and Year 11 students between the 8th June to 16th June, 2022. It is important to note that Intermediate VCAL students are exempt from exams and are therefore expected to attend all normal classes. There is no study day for Intermediate VCAL students. Participating in mid-year exams offers students valuable learning experiences to prepare for their future Year 12 exams.  Year Level Leaders and classroom teachers will be supporting students to prepare for exams by discussing and practicing study and time management techniques. Please support your child to study for their exams by providing a quiet place for them to study at home.

Some exam tips for health and wellbeing:

  • Plan your study
  • Take rest breaks
  • Exercise regularly
  • Have enough sleep and not stay up late (particularly don’t stay up late on your phone or computer)
  • Eat a nutritious diet and keep hydrated.

During the exam period, Year 10 and Year 11 students are only required to attend their exams, and should study at home when they are not timetabled for an exam. For students who need to come to school to study, there will be study rooms available.

Summer or winter uniform must be worn to the exam.

Year 10 exams will be held on-site at Killester College in the Year 10 area.

Year 11 exams will be held at the Springvale Town Hall. Students are expected to attend all scheduled examinations. Please contact the school office to notify of a student absence during exams.

Year 10 Gems in STEM Event with CMP Consulting

Did you know there is currently a crisis in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) across Australia with less than 7% of girls studying physics and advanced mathematics in VCE? Killester College was honoured to host CMP Consulting to showcase their Gems in STEM Program on Thursday May 26. This program explains to secondary students what engineering is and inspires those who may find it to be a rewarding career choice. Thank you to Soyun Punyadasa and guests from  CMP Consulting and the water industry for visiting our College.
