SCSA Basketball

On Friday the 13th of May, the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Basketball teams travelled to MSAC to compete in the SCSA Basketball Tournament. The teams had a challenging day ahead of them with 4 back to back games to play, excluding the semi finals and grand finals. The Intermediate team started off strong in our first game, defeating Academy by quite a large margin. We then went on to play St Aloysius, Marian, and St Mary's, with the most of the games being close, but Killester maintaining their lead with 4/4 victories! Our basketball skills continued to improve throughout the day, as seen by our semi-final victory over St. Aloysius. As a result, we were able to advance to the grand final against Academy. Despite our nervousness, the Intermediate team went out onto the court and gave it our all. It was a very tight game but Killester pulled through with a very close two point win, being the first time Killester College has won the intermediate SCSA basketball tournament! All of the students performed really well, and a special congratulations to Kayla Toma, who was named MVP of the grand final!!

The Juniors and Senior Basketball teams played well throughout the day, bringing great effort and intensity to all their matches!Thank you to Mr Rahimi, Miss Roberts, Mr Brodie and Gabby for coaching on the day and all the players for their great efforts!
