Premier's Reading Challenge

The Premier’s Reading Challenge is well under way. Our amazing students have been so enthusiastic and some have already qualified by completing the minimum of 15 titles. Tanreet Pannu of Year 7 was the first to qualify but continues to read and is in the running for most titles. All qualifying students will be invited to a special lunch where they will receive their certificates. There will be a presentation of badges at assembly and the lucky prize of a mountain bike will also be drawn.

CHALLENGE CLOSES Friday 2nd September 2022

Lunchtimes in the Library

The second term chess tournament commenced in the Library at lunchtime on Mondays. It is great to see the students competing, challenging themselves and each other. Some are absolute beginners, others have played for many years but they all share equal passion for learning.

Students can share in makerspace activities on Tuesdays. We supply all materials and they are able to make an item to take home. They recently made some bag charms, some decorative boxes and Mother’s Day cards. You can attend with friends or come along and make new ones.

Wednesday lunchtime, the Library is open to VCE students only. This time is made available for them to complete their studies in a quiet space.

Lunchtimes are a great time for students to catch up on study but we also have lots of activities that they can do to relax, like playing games, jigsaw puzzles and of course reading!!

We are so lucky to have some new furniture in our library, including these amazing egg chairs. They not only look great but provide a sensory space for students to study, read or just take some quiet time. We have had some incredible feedback from our students…please visit when you have the time and try them for yourselves.
