House Athletics
After some morning drizzle, the rain cleared for us to enjoy another wonderful House Athletics Carnival on Friday 13 May. We were pleased to see so many students in attendance, participating in events, novelty games, dressed up in their superhero costumes or just enjoying each other’s company in the grandstand. The sun came out and so did the dance moves as Mr. Delany took over as DJ. The day ended on a high with a lap of honour (and dancing) for the class of 2022 and Ms. Grant. Thank you to all staff and students who assisted on the day. I would like to give a big shout out to Mr. Tuffnell for running the Live Life BBQ and Mr. Wilcockson for running the Musical Bake Sale. Congratulations to all students who placed 1st or 2nd in their events and will move through to the Whitehorse Division competition on Tuesday 9 August at Tom Kelly Reserve Athletics Track, Doncaster East.

Regional Cross Country
On Tuesday 14 June, 31 students from across all year levels made the trek out to Yarra Glen to compete in the EMR Cross Country event. Somehow, we managed to avoid any rain and the sun was out for the day. It was an excellent day with multiple 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for both individual and team competitors. Congratulations to those moving through to the State event that will be held on Thursday 14 July at the same venue in Yarra Glen.
Congratulations to the following teams who won their Division competitions in Terms 1&2 and will progress through to EMR in Term 3&4:
- Junior Girls AFL
- Senior Girls Badminton
- Senior Boys/Mixed Hockey
- Intermediate Girls Netball
- Intermediate Boys/Mixed Cricket
- Year 8 Girls Softball
- Year 8 Boys/Mixed Baseball
A few important reminders for Interschool Sport:
- Check Compass regularly for information about team sign-ups.
- Please ensure payment and consent is provided by the due date (at least 3 days prior to the event, otherwise it will result in the student being unable to attend the event)
- If students decide to pull out of the event before the day, they MUST let either the teacher coaching the team OR Miss Prosenak know ASAP so that we can find another student as a replacement. If not, the team may not have enough players and be unable to go.
