Learning Intention: To create simple texts that retell stories and provide information.

I am successful when I can:

• Use a variety of planning strategies and tools for creating texts
• Use nouns and their pronouns correctly
• Use prepositional phrases to add information about how, when or where.

Sienna used a storyboard to plan her retell of the text ‘Banjo and Ruby Red’.

Adira brainstormed to plan her writing about her favourite place.

Karly used a mind map to plan her informative shark text. 

Lydia identified how she used pronouns correctly when composing her retell. 

Aleeza used prepositional phrases to add detail to her informative shark text. 

Alex shared how sharks could be represented in different ways in different texts.  She created a T-Chart listing how sharks are represented in imagined and informative texts.
