Breakfast at Larnook PS
Information Breakfast
Thank you to all parents and grandparents who were able to attend the Information Morning we held on Tuesday, 3rd May.
Libby (from our office) cooked delicious scones and we also provided savoury croissants. It was great to see so many parents at school again!
After satisfying our hunger the adults went into the senior classroom and heard about our plans for Term 2.
This term Mrs Mac will be retiring and Mrs Emerton and Mrs Cecil will share the senior class from Monday to Thursday. Miss Fish will teach the junior class from Monday to Thursday and will also teach the whole school on Friday.
We discussed options to use Homework Hound for extra work at home and also talked about home reading online. (Please contact the school if you wish to know more.)
The events for the term were outlined and we also discussed the upcoming Centenary celebrations.
It was a lovely morning and thank you to all who attended and helped with the morning.
School Centenary
This year it will be one hundred years since Larnook Public School was established. Sadly, due to COVID restrictions, the preparations for this event have been rather hampered.
We plan to celebrate this important anniversary on the 22nd of June, which is Wednesday of week 9.
We will be involving the children in research activities about the school history and are hoping to open a window into the past, as well as have a pizza lunch!
We are seeking any information about the history of the school that the community has and are looking for a community co-ordinator to help us organise the day.
If you are interested, or you know someone who has information to share, please contact the school via phone or email.
Hello and Goodbye
We welcome Jayden back to our school this term. Sadly, we farewell Ethan, as his family are moving away from the area. We hope you both enjoy your new schools.
