Year 9 Discovery Day Excursion at Chisholm Institute

On Monday 30 May, all Year 9s will spend a day at Chisholm TAFE to gain an experience of learning in a TAFE environment. This is in preparation for subject selection which will happen early in Term 3.

Students will be doing two workshops – one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Students will receive an email this week with a link to enable them to choose their two workshops and complete a survey. If you do not select your Top Two Preferences for a workshop, you will be allocated one randomly by me in consultation with your Head of House. There will be a maximum of 15 students per group. Every effort will be made to give students one of their top choices but this cannot be guaranteed.

This needs to be done before MONDAY 23 May, 9.00 am.

Please note that you are also required to create a USI for this excursion. This can be done through this link

https://www.usi.gov.au/providers/create-usi-student

You are best to create your USI online from home, as you need particular ID, as in the family Medicare Card, your Birth Certificate or Passport. It is an easy process if you have one form of ID beside you. If you need help at school to complete your USI, please take a photo of the family Medicare Card and come across to the Joseph Centre for assistance. Our LSOs in classrooms also know how to create a USI so they can help you also.
