Round 1 PSA Wrap-Up

v Christ Church Grammar

It was a fantastic first round of the PSA winter season last week against Christ Church. Whilst we were not able to come away with a win the 1st fixtures, our middle school and senior school teams overall had a very successful weekend. Some notable performances included the Football program that had 10 out of 11 wins, the Year 7 Soccer teams who won all four games by a combined total of 33 goals, and the Year 7A Hockey team who would had a great 4-1 win and were named team of the week. More importantly, the TC Spirit was out in full force over the whole fixture and the behaviour and attitude from the students was exemplary. This is laying a great foundation for the season ahead.

This weeks fixtures are against Guildford Grammar. This is the senior teams first home round and promises to be a great weekend of sport. A coffee van and sausage sizzle will be available at Waterford all morning for parents and students to enjoy.

First XI Hockey Coach

As a Trinity College Hockey community, we would like to take the opportunity to welcome Dylan Martin as our First XI coach for the 2022 season! Dylan is a current member of the Australian Men’s Hockey team and most recently won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Dylan’s appointment has been greeted with much excitement from the Senior Squad and his expertise has provided many opportunities for each player to grow their skills. Moreover, his ability to pass on his knowledge of the sport to others has been on show for all in attendance at trainings and games.

Dylan is leaving soon to represent Australia in the Trans-Tasman Series against New Zealand in mid-May. We wish Dylan all the best in the upcoming series and look forward to his contribution to TC Hockey throughout the year.
