2022 "A Whole New World" Ball

A big thank you to those parents who have dropped off items for this year’s Ball. These donated items are already going a long way towards this year’s Ball preparation and are very much appreciated.

Please note that new items have been added to our wish list so please continue to review the updated list to see if you can support us with these basic everyday items which can be dropped off at College Admin anytime during the school week.

Cash Donations

Another way parents can support this year’s Ball is by providing a cash donation which we will use for our more expensive items. The ball committee is in the process of setting up a cash donation link that will be made available in next week's newsletter.

All cash donations of $100 or more will be acknowledged in our weekly newsletter. A big thank you to the below sponsors who have already provided significant contributions towards our Ball so far:

  • Carlo and Dianne De Santis  - Puma Belmont
  • Brendan Maine
  • Patrick Murphy - MGC Civil

Prefect Perspectives

This week was finally the week. The week where we could hang up our masks and breathe without feeling suffocated. What a way to start Term 2! My name is Christian Marchesani and I am an Academic Prefect for 2022.

Throughout week 2, senior students finally had the opportunity to show off their well-earned blazer honours and colours. These awards recognise outstanding service, academic achievements, sporting successes and music triumphs. For many, these are a representation of hard work and dedication, dating back to Year 7.

The main conversations around the school were focused on the first round of winter sport that was played on the weekend against Christ Church. In great TC spirit, there were some amazing team efforts and highlights across all sports which resulted in a fierce contest. These amazing contributions were exemplified through the leadership of each captain, standing up for their teams. Unfortunately, we did experience some devastating injuries which set back our game plan and this was evident on the score board. Back to the drawing board for our fixture this week against Guildford.

For Drama students, the performance of the production ‘The Monster In The Maze’, would be the highlight of their year. Long preparations, gruelling auditions and countless rehearsals all led up to the first performance on Thursday. This production consists of students from both the Junior and Senior school, as well as choirs from Mercedes College and Trinity Old Boys. The one-hour drama reworking of the Greek legend of Theseus, is a must-see performance. Grab yourself a ticket and experience an entertaining night.

Finally, as Mother’s Day approaches this Sunday, we need to take the time to show appreciation to our mothers and special female figures in our life. By doing this, we can develop to be true men for others.
