Our Term

Term 4 has been another big term for us in Year One and Two! We have enjoyed a few whole school celebrations including The Art Show, Fun Fair, Walk to School, Jump Rope for Heart and Carols Night.

We have enjoyed learning about different types of toys in our weekly Inquiry sessions, identifying how they are made and how they work. We have continued to learn new spelling rules in our daily phonics practise and have enjoyed 'Authors as Mentors' where we have looked at authors such as Dr Seuss, Nick Bland and Jeannie Baker whilst also exploring a variety of fairytales. Our skills as mathematicians have continued to grow as we have explored many concepts in hands on ways.

This term saw us achieve our first whole school positive token's reward of a casual dress day. We are all working hard to achieve our second whole school reward. Every day, our teachers look for someone to be rewarded with a Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible or Be a Learner token to add to our classroom jars and we get so excited watching it fill up closer to the line.
