A letter from our neighbouring Secondary Catholic Schools

Dear Parents & Caregivers

On behalf of everyone involved in Catholic Education South Australia and in particular, your neighbouring Catholic Senior Schools, we would formally like to invite you to remain with us as you support your child/children throughout their Secondary Education.

As a significant local member of our Catholic community we write to offer you a place in our Secondary Schools. This offer guarantees your child/children a successful enrolment with us so long as together we can achieve the following, where possible: 

1. Submit a written application to your College of choice before the end of Term 1 of Year 5

          (ie 2 years before commencing Year 7) or sooner if possible;

     2.   As arranged, attend an Enrolment meeting with the College in Term 2 of Year 5 or earlier, to

discuss  all aspects of the application;

     3.  Following the Interview when offered a placement, please complete the necessary acceptance forms and return to the College by the end of Term 2 – 18 months prior to the commencement of Year 7.

Our mutual aim is to work with you to ensure the continuity of a Catholic Education for your child/children.

We hope that by establishing this partnership your child/children can confidently remain at their current Catholic Primary School for the duration of their Primary years, knowing there is a guaranteed place for them in a Catholic Secondary College in Year 7.  Furthermore, should you wish, you are welcome to submit the Year 7 application at any time prior to Year 5.

In the year prior to the commencement of Year 7 there will be opportunities for your child/children to visit the Catholic Secondary School of choice enabling them to participate in our transition program.

If the option of a Secondary Education at a Catholic College causes you any financial concerns, please do not hesitate to continue the application process. We will welcome the opportunity to meet with you and explore how our College community can support our shared mission for your child/children to continue their learning and spiritual journey within a Catholic Secondary School.
