Senior Netball, Stawell

The girls had a tough day at the office with nine games back to back down at Stawell against some tough competition. The girls however fought hard all day and at times played out of their position. We were thankful that Jazmin Potae stepped up from Year 10 and came along to help get a team on the court.

Coach Jude and support staff Jodie Grigg kept up the positivity on the sidelines and saw the girls win two games and had a few close games. Ashleigh Kouroupakis played outstanding in WD all day, Hayley Grigg and Elyssa Hausler played sensational in WA and C, shooters Ariana Smith-Ralph and Jazmin Potae had a great day out in the ring, and defenders Tara Piera-Matthews and Georgia Baxter shut teams down in the back half.

I am super proud of the girls who were respectful to each other and the opposition (even when the umpiring wasn’t the best by yours truly). I hope the Year 12s enjoyed their last netball school outing and continue their positive respectful attitudes in all aspects of their lives.

Primary Winter Sports

Primary Little Desert Winter Sports took place in Horsham, in very cold conditions on Thursday May 30.

The Netball Team was made up of Edenhope College students, while the Soccer and Football teams were a combined team made up of players from  the College, St Malachy's, Goroke and Balmoral.

The Year 5/6 Netball girls had a mixed bag of results, winning a game, loosing one and drawing one.

The combined Soccer team had a great day, winning their pool but then loosing in penalty shootouts and in the final.

The combined Football team did a fantastic job and won!
