National Simultaneous Storytime

The Primary students celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday May 22.

Students enjoyed listening to the Alpacas in Maracas book and then they had lots of fun creating their own Alpacas!

On Wednesday, Miss Duncan read a book called Alpacas with Maracas. We had two options. I chose the craft. It was hard to do, but it was fun. The room was very messy. I loved it so much!

Jack Smith, Year 3

On Wednesday, we made Alpacas. First we took a plate. Second we cut the plate in pieces and found the googly eyes. We stuck the mouth on. For the hair we found some wool. We had fun doing it!

Christa Jain, Year 2

Today at school, we made our own Alpaca because we read a book about Alpacas with Maracas. It was a story about a talent show that two Alpacas could not enter because they had no talent, but then they played the maracas and came last!

My Alpaca had purple hair made out of string. It also had googly eyes and white ears. Its eyes were very close to its nose and he stuck his tongue out too!

My Alpaca was a puppet so it could do puppet shows. His hair is long so it could rock out!

I really love my Alpaca and I can't wait until it comes off display so I can show Mum.

Grace Neall, Year 4
