Principal's Report

Thank you to everyone who made our 147th Annual Speech Day such a memorable occasion.  I felt especially proud to be associated with the College and was delighted to see so many parents support our children in the learning process.  A copy of my address will be published in our next Collandrian but for the purposes of good discussion, I print below what I hope will become the College Creed:

At College, we seek to educate for life.

We want our students:

to build bridges, not walls;

to value philosophies rather than shallow opinion;

to be optimistic in life, not pessimistic;

to be givers, not takers;

to be equally strong on their responsibilities, as they are on their rights;

to be courageous and speak up to injustice, when they know something is not right;

to ensure the service of others is their prime focus when leading;

and finally to have a sense of duty, rather than be constantly fed in a life of duty free.

Finally, I wish all Year 12 students every success as they embrace the challenges of the VCE over the forthcoming weeks.
