The THAC Inter-Primary Games Day
The Inter-Primary Games Day which was held on Friday 20th May was a successful event prepared and conducted by our Year 9 and 10 Equine Studies students. There were competitors from over 20 different schools in the area who came to compete in each age group. Many different games were conducted across the event and all our competitors enjoyed the fun and excitement of the day. The Fancy Dress was certainly a highlight, never before have I seen so much attention to detail, effort and pride go into this fabulous part of our event. Congratulations to all the students and parents who were part of making this so spectacular.
A very big thank you to all our volunteers from within the school community. Thank you especially to Ian Clare, Louise Patterson and Anthea Sutherland for helping with scoring, which was a great success! Students who volunteered their time for this event were most appreciated and were part of an overall team of students who did an excellent job with their allocated roles. The Year 9 and 10 Equine Students should be commended as the preparation, organisation and success of the day was a credit to all their hard work. Thank you to Annabel Mould and her family and Paul Smith for helping with catering and the BBQ on the day and for assisting with packing up the event. Thank you also to those who made donations to the very popular raffle, Gorge chocolates and Your Beauty products were most appreciated.
The overall results were as follows:
Grade Prep – 2 Laura Featherston 4th Overall
Grade 3-4 Zoe Weinberg 2nd Overall, Sophie Paton 3rd Overall, Eleanor Tehan 4th Overall
Grade 5-6 Gabrielle Officer 2rd Overall & Zara Smith 4th Overall
Congratulations to all our winners. Many of our students also had great success placing in their individual games so congratulations to Emily Ash, Amelie Hiscock, Sybil Fleetwood, Emma te Boekhorst, Laura and Emily Featherston for participating and representing our school with such enthusiasm.
Our year 9 & 10 Equine Studies students are still selling Cadbury chocolates to raise money for the 2017 Inter Primary
