food for thought

Olivia Cruse

Teacher - Food Studies

Things hotted up in the kitchen this term - all Year 8 and Year 10 Food Studies classes were cooking individual food items in response to a design brief - showing flair and imagination!

Within the Design Assessment Tasks, students we required to research, plan, produce, present, and finally evaluate their products.

The Year 8 students tackled a Healthy Lunch Design Task while Year 10 students did their research on a 'celebrity chef' and produced a recipe designed by them.

Students were very  motivated by these design tasks and really committed to achieving the best outcomes possible.  The result of this enthusiasm was a really broad variety of delicious and well presented dishes, and I commend them all on a job very well done!

These photos will are just a 'taster' of the talents demonstrated by these students!
