St Vinnies Sleepout
Rug Up!
The Peppercorns (10s & 11s) have been organising a St Vinnies Sleepout event to raise awareness around homelessness. We formed various committee groups, each with different responsibilities, so that we can achieve our goal of raising $850. The committees meet weekly to discuss, minute and action agenda items.
Some of their responsibilities so far have included:
- facilitating whole school meetings
- organising different fundraising events like the Pyjama Day on 21 July 2019
- distributing advertisements and sending emails to the school and community
- completing safety checks and a risk assessment
- monitoring the weather.
We are excited about the Sleepout on Thursday 25 July and had our final committee meetings yesterday. So far we have raised $2,551.25! We have certainly surpassed our goal of $800!
