Art Exhibition
Come and hear our Art specialist teacher, Claire Robertson talk about her new work 'Black Box' as part of Open House Melbourne at the Abbotsford Convent on Sunday 28 July.
Black Box is the first collaboration between artist Claire Robertson and designer David Clark. In a world of growing border tension, displaced peoples, and disconnection through distraction, we are losing our sense of belonging. Black Box is a superfiction—it depicts a cathartic crossing through the interzone, back to the natural environment, which we’re all innately a part of.

Old Cameras Wanted!
The Peppercorns (10s & 11s) are looking at photography this term. If you have any old cameras that you can donate to the Art room, they would be very much appreciated. We are after working cameras of all kinds... digital, film, auto, manual, Polaroid. Broken film cameras could also be helpful as the children can pull them apart.
Please drop them off at the Tree House Studio Wednesday to Friday or leave them with classroom teachers Monday/ Tuesday.
Chess Club Term 3
Chess Club is returning for Term 3. Commencing Thursday 18 July, last lesson for the Term Thursday 19 September, classes run after school from 3.35-4.35pm in the Library at Arlington.

Lunch orders
Our online lunch provider Classroom Cuisine creates and delivers healthy and affordable school lunches. Available each day, except Tuesday, you can order online up until 8.30am on the day the lunch is required. A two course lunch costs $8.95 and a three course lunch costs $10.35, irrespective of your selection from the menu.

Dads' Band?
We have had some interest from parents in forming a 'dads' band'. Details are yet to be formulated at this time but parents are invited to get on board. Please email Karoline if you are interested, or just curious.
Arlington Strings n Things
Tuesdays 8.30am
Learning an instrument and want to want to create an even bigger sound and meet people? Come along to the Kevin Borland Hall and explore some awesome music while learning how to work as a team. Expand your skills and have fun performing! All welcome, regardless of experience.
Flying for a Prize Choir
Thursdays 8.30am
Love singing in the shower or in the car on the way to school? Then come in and join our singing diva, Michelle, to explore classics and pop favourites with your friends. Investigate the world of singing through learning to sing in unison, solo and part harmonies.
Art Club
Art Club is up and running on Thursday lunchtimes. This term we have trialled a new approach, with the children coming up with some different ideas which we explore one each week. Art Club is open to all year levels, simply come up to the treehouse!
