PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Thanks
To Bailey Thomas, Katie McMahon, Anna Lennon and Mr Koch who joined me at the RSL’s inaugural Modern Day Conflict Commemoration Service on Saturday.
Colour My World
Our concert is on this week. Come along on either Wednesday at 10am, Thursday at 12pm or 7pm. Tickets are $5 at the door. We would love to see you there. I can't wait to see it! Please see the advertisement in the Community section of the newsletter regarding the filming of the concert.
Sickness and School
The flu and gastro is still very prevalent amongst our students. Our sick bay has been the busiest place in our school this term. Some doctors are recommending that students stay away from school for up to 48 hours after vomiting. Please consider if your child is well enough to be at school before sending them in the morning. Your support is appreciated.
Art Union and Race Day
Today every family should receive a book of raffle tickets for our annual art union. The tickets are $10 each and there are three great prizes
1st: A car
2nd: All Terrain esky and gift pack
3rd: Entry for four to the Blair Athol Day Spa
Please remember that each ticket gets you entry into the Holy Trinity Race Day on Saturday 21 October. This is a great day for our families. Please sell as many as you can to family, friends and neighbours. We need to pay for the prizes before we can start to make some money! Next week we will be calling for helpers to sell tickets down the street on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the weeks leading up to the Race Day. Your support is appreciated.
Year 8 and 9 excursions
Year 8 and 9 have been given information about their upcoming excursions. It is important that these excursions are paid in full before departure. If you have concerns around your ability to do this please contact me so other arrangements can be made.
School Advisory Committee
In November our School Board will change to a School Advisory Committee. Schools across the Diocese will all be making this change at this time. A new constitution and an AGM will commence this change. At the beginning of next term we will be calling for nominations. The AGM will take place on Thursday 2 November. Please talk with me if you are interested

We have received an invitation to a meeting at Ross Hill Public School. It is a parent information evening supporting RUOK? Day on Wednesday 13 September from 6pm to 9pm. Our families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The national RUOK? Day is on Thursday 14 September. We plan to support this day on Friday 15 due to our concert on Thursday. Students in K-6 are encouraged to wear a bright t-shirt with their sports shorts. Students in 7-10 may wear bright plain clothes.

Financial assistance to parents of secondary school pupils attending Diocesan schools is provided by the Catholic Schools Office. The grants are allocated on a needs basis, measured by the parents/carers gross family income. Applicants for the year 2018 bursaries should be enrolling in Year 7 in 2018 and the assistance continues until Year 10. Application forms are available from Cathy in the Front Office. Applications close on 22 September.
