SSV Junior Secondary Lacrosse School Competition

On Friday 20th October, Patterson River Secondary College entered four teams into the Year 7 and 8 Secondary Lacrosse School Competition at Paisley Park in Altona North. Each team played four games with a Grand Final place for the teams that placed top in each division. One of our girl’s teams missed the Grand Final playoff on percentage and one of the boys teams finished top of their division to play in a Grand Final against Emmanuel College. The boys scored the first two goals of the final and played an amazing brand of team lacrosse, which almost got them over the line. We lost by two goals against a team of experienced Lacrosse players and it is an absolute credit to our school the way we competed. It was a fantastic experience to play a new sport and demonstrate the all-round ability of our Year 7 and 8 EXCEL Sport students. Lacrosse Victoria was full of praise for our players. Thank you to Mrs. Ford for assisting us on the day.
