Senior School

From the Head of Senior School

What a vibrant start to the term we have had here in Senior School!

Year Ten students are busy planning for camp in Week Four now that they have completed their paperwork and attended their Camp Briefing Sessions.  There are assessments to complete before camp and pathways for 2023 to be finalised towards the end of term.  There is also the Year Ten Social to organise!

Year Eleven students are celebrating the new leadership team who have been hard at work already forming the 2023 Ball Committee, 2023 Leavers’ Jackets Committee and working with the outgoing leaders at our Athletics Carnival.  Our Year Eleven students have also started thinking about finalising their courses for next year.  This may mean a change in pathway or a change in one subject; it may mean a decision to continue with current courses through to the end of Year Twelve.  Regardless, now is the time to start making plans so that every individual is enrolled in the right suite of courses for their personal journey.

Year Twelve students are completing courses and preparing to leave school.  The mix of emotions that our Year Twelve students experience can be so complex at this time of year: excitement and joy about the future one minute, sadness about the end of an era the next.  Overall, there is an air of celebration which I am delighted to share with the students, both formally and informally, during this final chapter of their formal schooling.

The hallways are buzzing!
