Bike Education - Years 5/6

Sir Hubert Opperman Bicycle Education Competition

The Sir Hubert Opperman Bicycle Education Competition will be held at the Village Green, Rosebud on Wednesday the 9th of November.

The competition is an exciting bicycle skills competition aimed at year 5 and 6 students which encourages students to showcase their bicycle skills and compete against other schools in a friendly environment.

Our Lady of Fatima will be sending two teams to compete at this event. Fourteen Year Six students were given first preference and 8 Year 5 students were randomly selected to form a squad of 22 that will represent OLOF at the competition. We wish them all the very best.

Students have been working hard on improving their bicycle skills each Friday for the last month at school. Mr Connolly and I have been teaching the students safe riding techniques, how to perform bike checks and how best to complete the challenges that will be presented to them next week.

Challenges at the Sir Hubert Opperman Bicycle Competition include;
