R U OK? Day is the national day of action to highlight that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation whenever you spot the signs that someone you care about might be struggling with life.
On Thursday 8 September, Aberfoyle Park High School hosted a free BBQ breakfast outside the middle school building for R U OK? Day. Plenty of bacon and eggs were cooked and served by members of our Breakfast Club volunteers and Student Voice. The four steps to start a R U OK? conversation (Ask, Listen, Encourage Action and Check in) were highlighted. Students also brainstormed what they do to help support their mental health.
It was a great day.
