5/6 Blazing Comets - Reading Stars!

This term, students have been learning about analysing the authors' choice of techniques through podcasts and story writing during Literacy.  

Here are a few pictures of students listening and analysing a podcast of Short and Curly and Story Pirates.  

During modelled reading, "I enjoyed comparing both podcasts and creating a Venn Diagram" - Samarah.

Students had the opportunity to listen to live authors through the Story Heroes program. Story Heroes empowers ideas, creativity, imagination and critical thinking.  It shapes how we see the world and by telling our own stories helps to shape how we want to be seen. 

Students worked in groups to play a Telephone Pictionary Game.  This is where their creative ideas were blooming and students were having fun.
