Clear Out your Cupboards!

Collect for us… so we don't need to buy new!

  • Forks and teaspoons
  • Old paintbrushes (big is better)
  • Clean lids (big, small, plastic, metal)
  • Any craft supplies (e.g. felt, papers, stickers, pipe cleaners, etc.)
  • White/pale pillow cases to tie dye for an ArtZone activity.

Leave donations on the table at the main school office.

Gallery Shop – Merchandising Props

We’re on the lookout for some merchandising props for the gallery shop. If you have any of the following items that you’re able to loan, please send a pic to: galleryshop@artforall.com.au

  • Wooden crates
  • Ladder/tiered shelving
  • Small table top shelves
  • Floor/table lamps
  • Coat stand

Of course, we will look after your things and make sure you'll get them back after the event.

Also, if you have a stash of nice retail bags that can be donated and reused please leave them on the table at the main school office.

Art4All + Sustainability = Good Times

Fairfield Primary School strives to reduce waste at all its events. This year is no exception, and we are doing things a bit differently, as this year there’s no Wash Against Waste trailer... but don’t put away your rubber gloves just yet!

Help us avoid waste at the Family Fun Day!

Waste & Wash Stations

We are putting away all general waste bins. Instead, there will be staffed Waste & Wash Stations to capture planned waste streams – for recycling, composting and reuse. Any other waste brought in, please take it home with you.

BYO

Please BYO water you bottle and coffee cup! BYO plate/container and fork if extra keen.

Collecting Forks

If you have any unwanted metal forks, we would love them please. Only pure metal please, without plastic handles. Leave at the table at the main school office.

Cake Packaging

We love any sweet and savoury baking that you give us. Please write your name on your reusable containers and we will make sure you get them back. No disposable packaging please.

Signage

We are sticking to corflute signage for advertising. We have recycled these in the past, but are upping our game by making them reusable. Other advertising signage will be printed on recycled paper/cardboard. Informational signage around the event will also be reusable.

Food & Drink

We have endeavoured to offer food that doesn’t require much in the way of packaging and cutlery to avoid waste and washing needs entirely. Finger foods such as corn on the cob, sausages in bread, etc. However, there will be some meals offered on compostable plates, such as salad and paella, with reusable cutlery. Drinks for sale will all be in cans only to make recycling easy.

Washing Up & Volunteers

We will be reaching out for volunteers to help at the Waste & Wash Stations, where items will be collected and moved, with washing up at an industrial dishwasher. Year 6 students will also be invited to help move wash/waste items - as in past years.

Compostable Plates

We have opted for some compostable plates this year, feeling that the industrial dishwasher won’t have enough capacity for reusable plates, and for extra hygiene precautions. In the future we aim to have fully reusable cutlery and plates and our own washing up setup for events that could be shared amongst other schools, instead of the Wash Against Waste trailer.

Special Volunteering Jobs!

Help Hang Artwork

Handy with a drill? We would love you to help hang artwork on Thursday night, 10 November from 6:30pm. No artistic skill needed, just bring a cordless drill and a step ladder if you have one. Sign up yourself and your drill… and get first look at the art.

Passing on the Tradition: Master Chef/Gala Night - Learn the Ropes

To celebrate Year 6 students graduating and being all grown up, there has been a long-standing tradition of the cohort cooking and serving the canapés at Art4All's Gala Night. The students (and parents) are proud to contribute to a large part of the event – in their Sunday best.

We are lucky to have parent Courtney Gale run it. This year however, we are aware (since COVID) we need to train up the next (2023) Year 6 parents to keep the show running. If this piques your interest, please volunteer for the Master Chef/Gala Night (Friday night & Saturday night) so you feel confident to carry the torch!

Contact Courtney - favouriteauntc@gmail.com to discuss more.

Family Day

While many of the event set up slots are getting filled, we need all lots of hands for Family Day on Sunday. Sign up here!

Tees Coming Soon!

Gee, it's a looong wait isn't it?!

Production time is eight weeks from the cut-off date, and then our lovely volunteers will need a day or two to package up the t-shirts and deliver them to classrooms. So, anticipate the arrival of your tee the week of 17 October.

Art4All – A Cash-Free Event

Post COVID, we are pleased to keep things simple for our volunteers and streamline the weekend into a cash-free event. Also, we have added more options beyond PayPal to pay for tickets from our website.

Gala Night Tickets – Saturday 12 November

Wowzers, it looks like we are almost at capacity for Gala Night, for the first time ever!

It is a requirement to have a Gala Night Ticket to volunteer on the night, so if you've volunteered please get in and buy your ticket now

And if you've bought a ticket, please sign up to volunteer as it might be a long wait for everything. At this stage there's not enough volunteers to serve!
