CSC Art Show

The annual CSC Art Show was held this year and was a celebration of Art, Photography and Media Studies across the years 7-12. The works depicted the range of artwork across the school, but largely showcased VCE work.

The judges for this year's Acquisitive Prize were Judy Laycock and her daughter Alice Steel. In their Opening Address, they spoke about the difficulty in their task, due to the broad range and quality of the student work.

The winner of the Painting Category was Daniel Woodlock, which was a slightly psychedelic painting with three-dimensional elements.

The winning photograph was by Aiden Fryer, depicting clouds of liquid colour on a very large scale.

Bronny Jones’ Media production was a finalist in International Youth Silent Film Festival and screened in Melbourne. It won the ‘Best Acting’ and the ‘Highly Commended Acting’ category.

As well as the Opening of the Art Show, the exhibition enjoyed plenty of foot traffic as the location in the Market Building is so accessible to the community and visiting public.
