2016 Payment Schedule – Essential, Voluntary and Optional Items
Thank you to staff and parents/carers who have responded positively to the new format for the 2016 Payment Schedule. The aim of this format is to allow parents and carers to more easily determine the essential payments required for core and elective subjects and clearly list the voluntary and optional items as per the Department of Education and Training (DET) Parent Payment policy.
This year, more information regarding the application of this policy has been provided to schools by DET. This information has enabled CSC to review the payment schedule and make adjustments where required. If you have any questions regarding these payments, please contact Elissa O’Connor, Business Manager on 5479 1111.
Bring Your Own Device – Notebook Purchase Options
Information Communication Technology (ICT) is a vital part of the school curriculum with students using their devices to connect to online learning resources. For more information on notebook requirements and purchase options, please go to www.csc.vic.edu.au, click on the Publications tab, and select Top End Technology or LWT (Learning with Technologies) Portal. At the time of writing, Top End Technology provide more value for money and convenient service options and LWT provide an optional payment plan.
Camps, Sport and Excursion Fund (CSEF)
The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend camps, sports and excursions.
Families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply with $225 per year paid for eligible secondary school students. Payments are made directly to the school and are tied to the student. Year 7 students (in 2016) who are CSEF recipients are also automatically eligible for a uniform package.
Applications for CSEF funding can be obtained through the school or online at http://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/programs/health/Pages/csef.aspx?Redirect=1#link12.
